Alvin Youngblood Hart is from Oakland and he’s definitely a Mississippi bluesman, and he’s New Orleans so many times and spent so much time here that we’re officially adopting him. He’s another must-see if he’s playing around your town. He has one of the heaviest blues guitars you’ll ever hear; and he has fun. We always love musicians who clearly enjoy what they’re doing. Alvin Want a quote about him? You got it – Taj Mahal once said about Hart, “The boy has got thunder in his hands.” Agreed.
