Apple Barrel
Apple Barrel, which opened in 1981, is perhaps the tiniest music joint (maybe 50 people could jam in there) in New Orleans but it provides amazing local music seven nights a week. Recognized as one of the top small music venues in the city by Gambit New Orleans in 2025, the Apple Barrel is a no-cover spot most nights (one-drink minimum) and is always rockin’ late. Some online sites say cash only but that hasn’t been the case for our recent visits. Fun spot for all.
