Hi-Ho Lounge

The Hi-Ho Lounge, which opened in 1995, was known as a punk-rock dive bar for many years. After Hurricane Katrina, it was bought and significantly renovated by new owners John Hartsock and Lori Bernard. In 2013, it was sold again, this time to Brian Greiner and partners who owned the Maison restaurant and music venue on Frenchman Street.

The venue closed on Halloween in 2024. New owners stepped in and made a run as No Dice, but in late September of 2026, another independent ownership group stepped in to facilitate the return of the Hi-Ho.

The new owners, New Orleans residents Mike Davis and Melissa Eckert, said, "We didn't take over this space to change it; we took it over to bring it back. We are taking our time to clean things up and get the stage ready to welcome back the local independent talent, artists, and neighborhood regulars who made this room magic."

Food: None (occasional pop-up or food trucks on the street)

No Dice Detour

In late 2024, the Hi-Ho Lounge transitioned to become No Dice. This took some serious punishment on social media (No Dice had a lot of dice, for one thing). The main issue was the changeover of a beloved music club. On Sept. 21, 2026, the announcement was made that the Hi-Ho would return. Happiness abounded.
