Joy Theater
The Joy Theater was built in 1947 on Canal Street in downtown New Orleans. The venue was renovated in 2011 and it’s now an excellent venue for live music and can accommodate crowds up to 1,200 people. It had served as a traditional move theater until 2003 and then was inundated with the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina.
