Lynn Drury

Lynn Drury is “road music for the soul – New Orleans Americana meets Southern Miss country & soul.” Great description on her Instagram. Well done. She’s been a key part of the New Orleans scene since the late 90s and is going strong today. We know it’s cliché to say about a woman who loves New Orleans but can’t help but think of Lucinda Williams when you hear her. Here’s a more independent take on Drury, referencing two other female rockers, this is from John Apice in Americana Highways, “If rockers Joan Jett or Suzi Quatro ventured into country rock with a ballad it may sound like this…Lynn Drury is an equally accomplished artist & it’s evident.”
