Interestingly, it’s not easy to find a lot of info about Olivia Barnes online, but she has an amazing social media presence. Definitely follow along to truly learn about her. She’s recognized for her soulful voice and a distinct sound that blends Americana, rock, folk, and indie influences.
The Atlanta native settled in New Orleans after graduating from Tulane and she’s worked as a server at various places as she built up for following. It’s pretty cool that she was a server at The Chloe in New Orleans and then played the place professionally. She’s climbing fast and we expect to see her in bigger and bigger venues – in fact, she’s currently touring (summer 2026) with the Revivalists, that has to tell you something about her talent.
“When I was a kid, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world to be in a band, to write songs, to be in a studio,” Barnes told the substack ‘In Our Twenties.’ “The fact I’m doing this now is so crazy to me.”
