Rebirth is one of the legendary Nola brass bands. These guys came together in 1983 with Philip “Tuba Phil” Frazier, his brother Keith Frazier, Kermit Ruffins, and other friends from Joseph S. Clark High School came together in the Tremé. While the lineup has changed over the years, their sound has continued to dazzle audiences around the world and in New Orleans. In 2012, they won a Grammy Award for best regional roots music album. The band’s official website describes their sound as “blending the traditional brass sounds of the Big Easy with modern funk, jazz, soul, and hip-hop influences.” If that sounds good to you, as of the summer of 2026, they had regular shows at the Rabbit Hole.
