Takeshi Shimmura

Takeshi Shimmura plays guitar for the legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band. He also frequently collaborates with Mia Borders and other New Orleans artists. He moved to New Orleans in 2010 and after showing his skills around town with various projects, was added to the Dirty Dozen lineup in the mid-2010s. A native of Hokkaido, Japan, he spent time in California at the Musicians Institute before moving to the Crescent City.
